Most people don't wake up one morning and decide to build a Health and Safety company.
We certainly didn't.
SafetySolve started in 2019 as a small family business — a dad and daughter with a simple goal: help businesses protect their people.
We started by supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): gloves, hard hats, safety glasses and high-visibility clothing. The equipment workers rely on every day to get home safely.
But it didn't take long to realise something:
PPE wasn't solving the real problem.
We visited workplaces where hard hats were hanging on hooks, safety signs were hidden behind stock, emergency exits were blocked, employees were lifting heavy equipment without proper training, and fire extinguishers hadn't been serviced in years.
And then we'd hear the stories:
"Someone fell off that roof."
"A worker lost two fingers on that machine."
"There was a fire at the warehouse."
"A contractor was seriously injured because the hazard wasn't identified."
These weren't stories from the news.
They were happening in businesses just like the ones we worked with.
What if we could help prevent these incidents before they happened?
That question changed everything.
As we worked with more businesses, we expanded into Food Safety, helping organisations improve compliance, implement practical systems and protect both employees and customers.
But we kept seeing the same problem.
Most businesses weren't ignoring Health and Safety because they didn't care.
They simply didn't know where to start.
Years later, SafetySolve made the decision to focus fully on Occupational Health and Safety.
Not because it was the easiest path.
Because we believed it was where we could make the biggest difference.
Every risk assessment.
Every emergency plan.
Every workplace inspection.
Every training course.
Every conversation with a client.
It all comes back to one simple belief: Because every person who walks through the workplace door should have every reason to walk back through it safely.
When you walk through a construction site, warehouse, office or factory, it's easy to see people doing a job.
We see someone's husband.
Someone's wife.
Someone's son.
Someone's daughter.
Someone's best friend.
Someone who's expected home that evening.
That's why Health and Safety has never been about paperwork to us.
It's about people.
Behind every incident report is a real person whose life can change in seconds.
If we can help prevent even one of those stories, everything we do is worthwhile.
Not to sell folders.
Not to tick compliance boxes.
Not to overwhelm businesses with legislation.
But to make workplace Health and Safety practical, understandable and achievable for every South African business.
Whether you're employing your first staff member or managing hundreds of employees across multiple sites, we're here to help you build a workplace where compliance isn't something you fear — it's simply part of the way you work.
We don't believe in creating paperwork that sits on a shelf. Everything we develop is designed to be practical, easy to implement and relevant to your workplace.
Health and safety legislation can be confusing. We simplify complex legal requirements into practical guidance that business owners and employees can understand and apply.
Every workplace is different. We take the time to understand your operations and develop health and safety solutions that reflect your unique risks, industry and business needs.
Compliance isn't a once-off exercise. We're here to support your business with ongoing advice, updates and practical guidance as your workplace grows and changes.
As a family-owned business, we believe in building genuine relationships based on trust, honesty and personalised service. Your success and the safety of your employees matter to us because we understand the responsibility that comes with protecting people.
Behind every policy, risk assessment and training course are real people. We never lose sight of the reason health and safety exists—to protect lives, prevent injuries and help every employee return home safely at the end of the day.
